About this event & the organiser

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a global volunteering organisation that believes in diversity uniting us and making us stronger. Our goal is to bring unique views to the table and utilise everyone’s strengths. To make that possible we need environments where everyone is equal no matter their gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, background, or neurodiversity. We need a surrounding where uniqueness is seen as a strength instead of a weakness. But how do we create such a space? How far are we removed from it in our own workplaces? Those are the questions we will answer.

- The participants of the workshop “Building Bridges: Strengthening Inclusion in the workplace” will dive into their own working environment and explore how inclusive it is

- They will discuss why inclusivity is important at the workplace.

- The participants will be given concrete examples of how the Erasmus Student Network, a global youth volunteering organisation, has made their network more inclusive and continues to improve it

- The participants will be given the testimonial of someone in the LGBTQIA+ community, how their current working environment is and what they would need to feel included

- Everyone will leave the workshop with concrete points of action to create and improve an inclusive working environment.
